Garage Sale - May 1, 2010
On Saturday we had our garage sale in Royal Kunia that started from 6:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. Two words that come to mind when thinking back on this event are: A BLESSING.
The night before we set up tents and sorted through the items for the garage sale. In doing so we realized how much support we had from our family and friends through their contributions like never been used clothing and electronic items to in-working-condition exercise equipment. As well as some things that we were shocked to find.
After a very long night/early morning of making sure everything was in place, we finally took a nap to charge up for the next day. We found out how we all can be with a minimum amount of sleep. (Not too bad if I do say so myself.)
With a smile on our faces and our Starbucks drink in hand we were prepared for our very first customers (who came before 6:00a.m.). Not only were we blessed with the many donations from our family and friends, but our worries about the weather were blown away by the cool breeze and overcast sky. At this time we were given the opportunity to get to know other people in one of our communities and even support a family going through a difficult time through a group prayer. Over all, God has blessed us by leading many customers our way, keeping us on our toes, and given us this opportunity to share what we are doing to those who are unaware of the purpose of our purpose.
We would like to thank Chris’ mother for baking all the wonderful desserts (especially the Lilikoi bars
); Auntie Doris and Uncle Stephen for making and donating all the delicious curry, rice, and hot dogs, and Tarn and Marisa for helping and joining us. This experience has been really great for us and we all appreciate what each and every individual involved has done to help pull off this garage sale. MAHALO!

Panda Express Fundraiser - April 19th-24th, 2010
Thank you again to everyone who had supported us by eating at Panda Express in Waipio Gentry. It was great to see friends, family, and other Small Groups taking a part to help support our missions team. Beyond Team Mongolia making a great profit from this fundraiser, we truly enjoyed the hospitality provided to us from Panda Express Waipio Gentry as we built weekly relationships with them while having our Small Group meetings there. Mahalo again, and keep checking back for more updated pictures and bog updates.
