ㅗ디ㅣㅐ, ㄹ개ㅡ ㅏㅐㄱㄷㅁ! (its supposed to say hello from Korea but if not sorry its the keyboards fault!)
We just touched down in Korea and started off our 15 hour layover with hot showers, pringles, tuna sandwiches and strawberry ice cream! Please pray for the whole team as we have another 25 hours or so of travel/layover time ahead of us
On our last few days in Mongolia we were able to make it out to the countryside in an 11 passenger van despite 19 of us making the trip! It was quite the experience and we learned a whole lot about ourselves! For Example: Ryan Toma, when about to vomit from motion sickness licks his lips profusely, holds his breath, wrinkles his brow and has a weird constipated look on his face. Summer Nakamura makes two foot wide circles with her head all while gracefully following the violent jarring and rattling of the van! Merly Acosta sleeps with her mouth wide enough to fit an iso peanut inside! ………………. Once we reached our destination we were greeted by an awesome Man of God, Eggy! (the spelling is guarantee wrong) Let me tell you that God has really been using Father’s Love Church to reach out to the immediate community in UB as well as the country! It is amazing to see so many people from various walks of life who all have been impacted by the church! Yes, they may be a smaller church but our God is God who has no limits! We were all lucky enough to ride camels, yaks and indulge in a traditional Mongolian Feast which I am not about to try and spell! It consists of sheep (entrails and all), cabbage, carrots (dirt and all), potatoes and hot rocks which help to maintain the perfect cooking temperature! It was excellent and brought a perfect end to our trip as we ate till our hearts content next to a slowly flowing ICE COLD river. That night as we made it back to UB, we again were blessed by one of the members from church who invited us over to her house to eat another amazing meal! After dinner one of the girls shared her testimony and how God has really been moving in her life! AWESOME! God has given us all heavy hearts for the people of Mongolia. I would type more but I am tired and this computer does not give me sqiggly red or green lines to let me know when my spelling or grammar is wrong!
Prayer Points
- That the seeds that have been planted here in Mongolia will continue to be watered and be deeply rooted.
- For leaders to arise in the church. ( Father’s Love Church needs men)
- For Father’s Love Church to continue to be that beacon of light! (their new location is in the middle of an apartment complex! ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES!)
- For more representatives from Mongolia to attend EN2010!
Chris……( I finally got sick! Not from sheep, chicken, dirty water or the flu but from a WATERMELON………… a SLICE of watermelon! hahaha) SEE YOU SOOOON!
